I think one of the biggest things I struggle with as a writer is first writing for myself before anyone else! When you want to make a career out of writing, sometimes even writing the first draft will become consumed with thoughts like, will this be good enough? While every piece of writing advice is subjective, and no two writers are the same, perhaps if you’re floating along in the same boat as I am, you’ll find some comfort in my words ahead!
2019 is already proving to be a spectacular year for books, and the covers for those books are just as amazing as the contents inside. It was hard to choose only nineteen, and I’m sure when I look back at this I’ll be dying to add more (I already am!). As an artist with a bit of marketing as a background, I am obsessed with great covers.
This is a spoiler free review of White Stag by Kara Barbieri! This book was so thrilling, and I have so many words about it. From the atmosphere, to the characters, and the themes, this was a fantastic read to start the year. Thank you Wednesday Books for inviting me to be part of the blog tour to celebrate the release of this book. As such, I have received an ARC of White Stag from Wednesday, however all opinions are my own.
2019 is soon to be upon us, and with that comes a plethora of new books getting ready to hit the shelves! I am so incredibly excited for a number of books releasing, and I can’t wait to scream from the rooftops my excitement. While these don’t include all of the books I’ll be fangirling over in 2019, these are 5 of the ones I seriously can’t wait to rave about! This list is in no particular order, because I am excited about all of them!
This is a spoiler-free review of Wildcard by Marie Lu! I was so incredibly excited to jump into the finale of the Warcross duology. I adored the first book, Warcross, and you can read my first review here.
This is a spoiler free review of Fireblood by Elly Blake, which is the second book in the Frostblood Saga. This was a spectacular book that had me hooked from start to finish. A rollercoaster of a novel, this is definitely a series everyone needs to get into. I previously reviewed the first book, Frostblood, which you can read my review by clicking here.
Sea of Strangers is the second book in The Ryogan Chronicles by Erica Cameron. This second book is what you would expect from a middle novel: filled with fast-paced adventure. With danger lurking at every turn and racing against time, this book was filled with high stakes and an immense plot. This is the second book in The Ryogan Chronicles, so if you would like to read my review of the first book, Island of Exiles, please click here.
