Books I’m Excited for in 2019!

2019 is soon to be upon us, and with that comes a plethora of new books getting ready to hit the shelves! I am so incredibly excited for a number of books releasing, and I can’t wait to scream from the rooftops my excitement. While these don’t include all of the books I’ll be fangirling over in 2019, these are 5 of the ones I seriously can’t wait to rave about! This list is in no particular order, because I am excited about all of them!

Please note that the preorder / purchase links below are affiliate links. This means when you preorder or purchase the book through the link provided, I will receive a small commission.

1. White Stag by Kara Barbieri, Jan 8 2019

This is one I’ve been seriously fangirling over. If you didn’t know, White Stag was a book first published on Wattpad. If you know anything about me, I found my writing shoes on that website, so I always get a little extra giddy when I hear authors on there are doing well.

Not only this, but this book sounds so badass! I can’t wait get my hands onto it! I originally started the first few chapters on Wattpad, but when the author announced it was going to publication, I stopped reading so that I could read the published version.

2. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

I think I about cried when I first heard about this book coming out! If you didn’t know, Margaret wrote one of my most favorite books, An Enchantment of Ravens, which I am literally begging everyone to dive into. It was that good! When the news came out about Sorcery of Thorns I wanted to scream. (Okay, maybe I did).

If this new book is anything like the other, you need to add this book to your TBR (to-be-read) pile immediately. Margaret crafts words in such a way that I felt completely immersed in her debut.

3. The Wicked King by Holly Black, Jan 8 2019

I’d be a bit crazy if I didn’t mention this book. Deep breaths, Makayla, deep breaths. Ahem. I AM SO EXCITED!!!! The first book of this series, The Cruel Prince, was one of my absolute favorite reads of 2018. You can read about me fangirling in my review here.

Honestly, after I finish this book I’m not sure how I’m going to survive the wait for the third book in the series. Good thing there’s tons of great books coming out in 2019!

4. The Girl The Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young, Sept 3 2019

(Cover not yet available) I was absolutely obsessed with Adrienne’s debut, Sky in the Deep, and since this is a spin off, I am incredibly thrilled! I can’t wait to dive back into the world she has created. Sky in the Deep was a spectacular debut, and you can read my review of it here.

Adrienne beautifully crafted the world of her debut, and her voice was stunning. I was immediately drawn into the world of Eelyn, and I am even more excited to be able to read more about the setting Adrienne has created!

5. Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan, Apr 2 2019

This is a book I’m really excited to dive into! I originally found out about it through a plethora of fanarts being shared on Twitter. If there’s anything that can drag me into getting excited about a book, it’s amazing art. After logging into GoodReads and reading the description for it, I knew it was going to be something I was going to love!

I am so excited to dive into this debut and see all that Emily has in store for us! This books sounds absolutely fantastic.

Of course, these five aren’t the only books I’m ready to read in 2019! There are so many amazing titles and debuts set to release, and I really feel like this is going to be a fantastic year in reading! With books like The Devouring Grey by Christine Lynn Herman, We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal, and Descendant of the Crane by Joan He, 2019 is going to be an amazing year.
